Steiff Evander Teddy Bear is designed for the Steiff 2022 collection.
The first giant pandas arrived in America in 1937. Richard Steiff, then living in America, immediately began design work. Our Steiff archivist confirms that on 12-01-1938 the very first sample was recorded, making Steiff the first toy manufacturer to offer a panda.
They have remained on the range ever since illustrating their popularity.
Now Steiff herritage meets Steiff`s future.

Evander enjoys his alternative materials of woven plush made of soy bamboo viscose.
His paw pads are also of soy bamboo viscose and he is filled with PES from recycled PET bottles.

Evander is 30 cm. / 12" tall and limited to 2020 pieces worldwide.
This bear is fully, loosely jointed, and has a Panda-Ted look.
Evander is the successor of Lavender rabbit and the Grizzly Bear Björn.
He proudly wears the "Teddies for tomorrow"chest tag out of brass and a gold plated button in his left ear.
